“Pillars of Desperation and Anticipation,” spiteful queens, gay men in olden days, and outings to a green grove—these are some of the subjects covered in Little Gay Reykjavik.. In the book, Guðjón Ragnar Jónasson provides accounts of a culture hidden from most of us, telling tragicomic stories of the nightlife theater on Laugavegur, while simultaneously exploring the Sagas of Icelanders and remembering milestones in the long and tough battle for rights and visibility.
