In a manor by the sea, one sister is still cursed.

Seventeen-year-old Verity roams the shadowed halls of Highmoor under the watchful eye of her older sister Camille, but she dreams of adventures far beyond the family estate.

So when their sister Mercy sends word that the Duchess of Bloem wants Verity to paint a portrait of her son, Alexander, she jumps at the chance. But Camille refuses to let her go, revealing the secret she’s kept for years: that Verity is cursed by ghostly visions.

Stunned and with nowhere else to turn, Verity flees to Bloem. She is captivated by the lush grounds and is instantly drawn to the charming and impossibly handsome Alexander. As romance blossoms, Verity finds it harder to ignore her nightmares. Is Verity’s past finally catching up to her, or could there be a darker side to Bloem under its sickly-sweet façade?
